The Scene
The best aspect of the country's largest water-park resort is the water park reserved exclusively for guests--including tube slides, lazy rivers, wave pools and hot springs, several water playgrounds for smaller kids, and a large indoor sun deck that allows for indoor tanning. The lobbies feel like a hunting lodge with wooden walls and stuffed wild animals. The Wild Canyon Cafe has breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a country-style breakfast buffet--be sure to ask about the "kids eat free" special.
The Draw
In addition to the family-oriented water parks and restaurants, the Wilderness features a 9-hole executive golf course (and will open Wild Rock, a brand-new 18-hole championship course in May 2008). In the winter, guests enjoy sleigh rides, ice skating and the hot spas. You can choose either hotel rooms, luxurious condos, vacation villas or cabins. But the massive water-parks are the draw, covering more than 500,000 square feet. The resort is so spacious that many guests take the complimentary shuttle from one end to the other.

Know Before You GoGlacier Canyon Lodge, which features 224 two- and three-bedroom codos, is attached to the main Wilderness Territory via an elevated walkway. Waterparks at each resort are available to guests of the other.
