Famous Dave's recipes began as a hobby for Dave Anderson, who opened his first 'cue shack in Hayward, Wisc., in 1994. Now a national phenomenon, the restaurants cater to diners who dig into finger-licking-tasty meat. My husband and I went to this restaurant anticipating their ribs. It was not busy on the night we went. We were seated upstairs. We were seated promptly and given ample time to look at the menu and then placed our order. Once we received our food we never saw our waitress again. The food was okay. It wasnt hot and the much anticipated ribs were fatty. We waited for at least 30 minutes after we were done eating and still had not received our check. We were just about to give up on our waitress when she appeared with the check. We paid our bill and left. We have not been back since and will never go their again.
