Editorial Review for Denny's Diner – by Peter Behle
The Scene
Located on the busy corner that separates Lake Delton from Wisconsin Dells, it's easy to pass this old-time cash-only favorite, but don't make that mistake. Wander on in for a leisurely breakfast or lunch and you won't regret it. The crowd is largely local, even in the busy summer season. Kids will enjoy the decor--juke box, model trains circling above, a large Elvis in the front window and a few video games in the back.
The Food
Famous--and rightly so--for their cinnamon rolls and pecan buns, many folks stop in and get a box to go. Whether you're in for breakfast or lunch, don't miss out. The cinnamon rolls are oozing with gooey white frosting, while the pecan rolls are covered in a brown-sugary mess of pecan pieces. But when they're gone, they're gone. Pancakes and omelettes make for a great breakfast, while lunch heads into the familiar burger/sandwich territory.
